Tube production by Dnepropetrovsk Tube Plant up by 20% in Jan-June 2006 |
According to the most recent data, in the first six months of 2006, OJSC Dnepropetrovsk Tube Plant produced 120.7 ths. tons of steel tubes, which is by 18.4% higher than in the respective period of 2005. In the beginning of the year, electric tube welding workshop of the plant launched production of profile tubes of sizes 80x80 and 120x120, which helped release the mill in electric tube welding workshop No.3 and lowered the cost of production due to avoidance of tube shell transportation from one workshop to another.
Production expansion will also be encouraged by fulfilling of the plant’s technical upgrade program, including reconstruction of TPO-80 at approximate value EUR 6-8 mn. Annual production plan has been set at 269 ths. tons of tubes.
For reference. OJSC Dnepropetrovsk Tube Plant has been established in 1889.
