Ukraine increased coal output by 3.9% in March 2006 |
In March 2006, Ukraine produced 20,219.3 ths tons of coal, up by 3.9% or 754.5 ths tons versus March 2005.
In January-March 2006, coal production moved up by 13.8% or 1,522.5 ths tons to 12,522.8 ths tons, while coking coal output moved down by 9.1% or 768 ths tons to 7,696.4 ths tons.
In March 2006, Ukraine produced 7,213.5 ths tons of coal, up by 4.1% or 283.6 ths tons versus March 2005. Power-generating coal production stepped up by 16.5% or 646.9 ths tons to 4,564.5 ths tons, while coking coal output decreased by 12.1% or 363.3 ths tons to 2,648.9 ths tons.
In 2005, Ukraine cut coal production by 2.6% or 2,114.6 ths tons versus 2004 to 78,037.4 ths tons. Power-generating coal production stepped up by 5.4% or 2,301.6 ths tons to 45,205.9 ths tons, while coking coal output drooped by 11.9% or 4,416.2 ths tons to 32,831.5 ths tons.
